EC49018-1A,Single Cell Lithium Battery Charger

General description

The EC49018 is a complete constant – current&constant-voltage linear charger for single cell lithium-ion batteries. Its SOP-8(Exposed PAD) package and low external component count make the EC49018 ideally suited for portable applications. In addition,   the EC49018 can work within USB and wall adapter.No blocking diode is required because of its internal PMOSFET architecture which is able to prevent the negative Charge Current. Thermal feedback regulates the charge current to limit the die temperature during high power operation or high ambient temperature. The charge voltage is fixed at 4.2V, and the charge current can be programmed externally with a single resistor. The EC49018 automatically terminates the charge cycle when the charge current drops to 1/10th the programmed value after the final float voltage is reached.EC49018 Other features include current monitor, under voltage lockout, automatic recharge and two status pin to  indicate  charge  termination  and  the  presence  of  an input voltage.
